Last week was a pretty good week if I say so myself.

On Saturday I saw Arlo Parks at Enmore Theatre. Enmore is probably my favourite concert venue in Sydney as it is in Newtown with a great selection of artists I’ve seen throughout the years. I absolutely adore Arlo Parks’s songwriting and it makes me so nostalgic for sad indie and my early adolescence. Portra 400 is my favourite but check out Eugene, Too Good and Hope. The crowd was wonderful and so pleasantly different to what I’m used to. I don’t think I’ve been to a gig that had so much women before and I love that.

I had to go to Randwick on a Tuesday morning to get a dental scan and checked out this cafe Twenty Two Grams which I highly rate. It’s conveniently situated right by the light rail. This bruschetta was lovely and wasn’t so overpowering with the vinaigrette which is something I find when I eat bruschetta. There’s also a bakery of the same name that is filled with croissants and other lovely baked goods.
I feel even now at 25, I’m still exploring the nooks and crannies within Sydney. My dental journey with orthodontists and surgeons is really been a Sydney highlights tour.

On the weekend, I went to see my orthodontist in Canterbury and I feel so excited to start my dental journey. My orthodontist said I would be a great candidate for aligners which I was pleasantly surprised at because I thought I would have been a better fit for braces. My aligners probably won’t start until October as my orthodontist is still going through revisions as well as consultations with my surgeon. However, I can feel it and it feels really exciting but also daunting. It’s predicted to take about 2 years and there’s a lot of cost that’s involved (but it’s manageable) but it’s something that I want to get done that I’ve thought about for years so I’m so excited at the prospect I can start soon.
