I’ve been enjoying using Youth to the People for a while now. The brand is very socially and environmentally conscious but it also has a good formulation to back it up. According to Youth to the People, the Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream is described as:
” Get ready for some leafy green moisture with this lightweight, air-whipped moisture cream. All the antioxidant-packed superfoods you love combine forces with Hyaluronic Acid, creating a moisturizer that instantly restores, balances and conditions. Friendly for all skin types, best for combo/oily. “
Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream contains:
Kale and Spinach
So you don’t like your vegetables? Consider that vegetables have rich skincare benefits. Kale is rich in vitamins C, E and K. Similarly, spinach is rich in vitamins A, C and K.
protects protect the skin from air pollution, sun damage, and other premature ageing. Benefits include reducing dark spots, sun damage, and brightening skin tone to really make your skin glow.
helps support the immune system, cell function, and skin health.
helps largely to reduce dark circles under your eyes and boost skin elasticity.
supports skin, eye, and reproductive health, and immune function. This benefits the skin making it thicker and healthier which can reduce wrinkles and increase blood flow to the surface of the skin.
Green tea is an antioxidant that soothes and protects the skin. It can also reduce sebum (i.e. reduce oiliness), and minimise signs of ageing. Green tea is a great ingredient for those with acne, eczema and psoriasis.
Hyaluronic Acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. Therefore, it keeps the skin hydrated making the skin look more radiant and youth-looking.
I found the Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream worked really well with my oily, sensitive skin (I have eczema). It is recommended to apply this day and night. I like to use it in the day and it also works as a nice makeup primer. You could also mix this with your foundation for a hydrating boost.
This cream is lightweight with a gel consistency. In other words, it absorbs quickly which is why I like to use it in the morning. It is moisturising and it leaves my skin looking so smooth. The cream also does a good job on oil control.
Lastly, I do have a con to this product which is the price. It costs $74 AUD for 59ml so I would probably recommend buying a Youth to the People skincare kit to trial the product. However, a little goes a long way. For instance, I have a mini size of the cream and I have barely bare a dent in it. It will honestly last you months even if you use it daily.
However, it genuinely has been one of my favourite day (and night) moisturisers to use for oily/combo skin. In conclusion, I really enjoyed this moisturiser.
