I have always enjoyed using drugstore makeup for an everyday makeup look. Not only is drugstore makeup really affordable and accessible, it allows me to experiment with new products. I’ll be less pissed off if I don’t like a $10 eyeliner than a $30 eyeliner. Sometimes I actually gravitate towards using my cheaper drugstore makeup because I don’t want to touch my more expensive stuff.

I loved how this everyday makeup look turned out. For this makeup look, I used a bunch of products I regularly use and a bunch of new products as well. It was quick and simple and I really liked how natural it looked. This is exactly the type of look I would do for a daytime casual look or for everyday work.
The highlights for me was definitely the NYX Marshmallow Primer and Colourpop Super Shock and Jelly Much Shadows. The primer smells just like marshmallows and has this beautiful soft whipped consistency. It is said to have 10 benefits including smoothing, soothing, softening, extending makeup wear, minimising texture and blurring lines. I wore this makeup for about 8 hours and it did wonders for making my makeup last and oil control.
The Colourpop eyeshadows are great if you just want a swipe of colour. I just dabbed my fingers and patted it on my lids. They have great colour payoff and no fallout. The shade Desert Days is so pretty and sparkly whilst also looking natural.
As I mentioned, I also used some tried and used favourites. The Maybelline Brow Statin Pencil is one of my favourite cheaper brow pencils and have repurchased this on numerous occasions. I also have so many Rimmel Natural Bronzers and Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powders because I really enjoyed both these products and just repurchased them whenever they went on sale. I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing anytime soon. After using more expensive bronzers, I find the Rimmel Bronzer pulls a little too orange for me and I don’t use it much.
I actually enjoy using my cheaper lip balms such as Nivea as I find they do a good job in moisturising my lips. I own more expensive lip balms including from Summer Fridays and even Dior and I can’t justify paying 5-10x as much for the same thing.
