The Royal Botanic Gardens has always been a lovely place to explore and immerse myself in nature and have a lunchtime or casual stroll. There’s a current exhibit at The Calyx that is worth checking out that I wanted to share.
InBloom boasts more than 20,000 plants on display and is one of the largest living green walls in the Southern Hemisphere. Whilst entry is free, you are encouraged to make a gold coin donation and masks are essential upon entry. However, there are masks on arrival so don’t freak out if you forgot yours.
The flowers and plants are absolutely gorgeous and it makes for a very pretty photo op. I also love getting to know about different plants so it also makes for an educational experience. The exhibit will probably take about 10-20 minutes to go through and then you can explore the rest of the gardens. The gardens are massive but it is really scenic and calm.
The exhibition also changes upon season so it would be worth checking again. I will definitely go again if I’m around the area. The exhibition will continue until Winter 2021 (July 2021).

InBloom and the Royal Botanic Gardens is such a lovely lunchtime escape from work. I feel so at peace with nature, colourful flowers and stillness. I feel like this is a really underrated place. It is close proximity to the hustle and bustle of the city whilst having views of the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House but it has an abundance of flowers, plants and birds.
Have a walk, lunch or even a cute picnic.
