Lockdown is still in full swing for a lot of us. Even though I’m starting to work in the office a lot more, the lockdown has taught me the importance of being comfortable utmost. I’ve ditched the short heels to flats at work and will never look back.
I’ve also tried my best to still look nice amidst the pandemic. I’ve definitely spent the majority of 2020 improving my self-confidence and getting rid of bad habits and will continue to do so in 2021. You should be comfortable and still feel confident and sexy in the clothes you wear and be the best version of you.
Femme Luxe is a UK based online retailer that specialises in women clothing. They are well known for their loungewear and clubwear. I was kindly offered to choose some items in the form of a review. I thought I would pick a range of products and let’s see if they’re worth it and and fit a size 14 girl (AU/UK 14 or US 10). We only stan inclusive brands.
I purchased this in a size 16 (currently not in stock). I sized up because I wanted an oversized fit and was aware that the jacket was cropped. The bigger the jacket, the less cropped it is lol.
I’ve never been a big fan of denim jackets on me personally because I didn’t think it suited my body shape. Then I watched so many curvy women on Tiktok to realise we can wear whatever we want.
I really liked this jacket. I liked the oversized fit but since I am short, the arm length was a bit too big. However, that was no issue since I like rolling up my sleeves. I did wish it was just a tad longer. I think it would look so nice paired with flowery summer dresses and white trainers.
I think two piece co-ord loungewear sets are all the hype now. They are so comfortable but can look super put together and stylish. I ordered this in a size 14. I think the set is a nice material. The top is a bit cropped and the pants were slightly too long (I’m 5’3′). However, this set is really flattering and comes in many other colours including green, brown and yellow.
I would probably only wear this to lounge in but if you’ve got the confidence, I would totally rock this out on a night out. The pants give me going clubbing in the UK in second year uni vibes. The top is really nice basic staple so definitely recommend this set – especially if you’re on the taller side. I really love the pants!
I’ve paired these joggers with the ribbed top from the Black Crop Ribbed Two Piece Co-ord Set and I think it really goes well together.
I love fleece joggers. They’re really comfy, stylish and keep you warm. Joggers are the essential at the moment with lockdown and feeling comfy. Pair these with some sneakers and a crop top or baggy sweater and you’re ready to go. I got this in a size 14 so this runs true to size with a baggy feel.
I also love pockets on anything – very practical. I do think the pockets hang a bit too low but it only means the pockets are super deep and you can fit more things in it.
Ending with this showstopper. I mentioned Femme Luxe were known for their loungewear but they are also very well known for their clubwear. I ordered this in a size 14 and I am obsessed with this. It fit nice and snug and it’s in this really nice slinky material that is thick and supportive.
It’s the perfect night out dress. You could definitely dress this up with some heels but also dress this down with some sneakers.
If you’ve seen the Buss It Challenge on Tiktok, you know exactly the pose I’m going for. I love this challenge – I think it’s really empowering and it’s definitely the POC ladies that shine in this.
I’ve been watching way too much Rupaul’s Drag Race (season 13 and RPDR UK season 2) lately. I am so excited for this new season of RPDR UK. The British queens are really killing it.
But I am (and we all should) definitely be feeling our oats and feeling our fantasy. In plain English, we should feel confident, powerful and glowing! These clothes from Femme Luxe are definitely making me feel confident and cute.
Have any of you shopped at Femme Luxe before?
